TruSculpt is not for people who are pregnant, have pacemakers or defibrillators or who have metallic implants in the targeted treatment area.
During your procedure, the truSculpt 3D applicator will glide over the skin’s surface. This gliding technique has been proven effective in doubling your results as well as shortening treatment time. You will experience a warm sensation during application, similar to a hot stone massage, but it should not be overwhelming. TruSculpt 3D uses radio frequency (RF) energy to deliver controlled heating deep within the skin to target underlying excess fatty tissue. As the fat is heated, the cells are damaged and will eventually be eliminated through the body’s lymphatic system.
The treatment time for a truSculpt 3D session can take as long as 60 minutes for the abdomen and flanks. Smaller areas would obviously require less treatment time. The neck and chin area requires less than a half-hour to treat.
You may experience mild sensitivity in the treated area a few days after treatment. This sensation is the result of the fat reduction, not muscle tenderness, and should dissipate after 3 to 4 days.
Initial results can be seen in as little as 3 to 4 weeks, although final results require around 3 months. Although results vary from person to person, many men and women have experienced positive changes after their truSculpt 3D treatment(s) including:
Once the damaged fat cells are flushed from your system, they will not grow back. However, it is important to practice a healthy diet and exercise regimen to maintain long-lasting results as remaining fat cells can continue to grow.

How do I find the best plastic surgeon offering TruSculpt® 3D near me?
To determine which plastic surgeon and practice is the best fit for you, narrow down the possibilities to those who have the best qualifications. Look for board-certified plastic surgeons who have experience performing TruSculpt® 3D procedures. Then, schedule a consultation with them. After you get a feel for the way they work and see some before and after photos of their TruSculpt® 3D patients, you should be able to determine who is the best plastic surgeon for you.
How much pain will I experience after my TruSculpt® 3D procedure?
While every patient is different, you should not expect to feel significant pain during or after your TruSculpt® 3D procedure. No anesthetic is needed as the radiofrequency energy used is gentle. The targeted area will feel very warm, with patients comparing the sensation to that of a heating pad.
What should I expect from TruSculpt® 3D recovery?
There is no recovery period for TruSculpt® 3D. Clients can come in for the procedure on their lunch break and return to work once it is completed. There is no need to reduce or eliminate any normal activities. This makes TruSculpt® 3D well suited to anyone with a busy lifestyle.
What are the risks associated with TruSculpt® 3D?
There are minimal side effects associated with TruSculpt® 3D. The most common is for the skin at the treatment site to be redder than normal for a few hours after the procedure. Some clients will notice a lump in the treatment area, but this will resolve on its own. Gentle massages can help it go away faster. Swelling and tenderness are also possible, though not as common, and tend to go away within 48 hours of the procedure.
How do I know if I am a TruSculpt® 3D candidate?
In general, it is best suited to those who have stubborn areas of fat that do not seem to respond to changes in diet or exercise. Ideally, the patient should have a BMI under 35 and be within range of their ideal weight.
How can I prepare for my TruSculpt® 3D procedure?
There is very little that needs to be done to prepare for a TruSculpt® 3D session. It is suggested that anything that might irritate the skin is avoided, including lotions, fragrances and new soaps. Make sure you are well hydrated. Clients should shower the morning of the procedure to ensure any residue from products is removed. With that, you are ready to go.
