Insurance typically does not cover elective cosmetic procedures. If medical necessity applies (e.g., some post-cancer reconstruction), we’ll discuss next steps during your consultation.

Pre-Op Preparation

We’ll provide personalized pre-op instructions. General prep includes:

• Stop smoking/nicotine at least 4 weeks before surgery.
• Avoid blood thinners (aspirin/ibuprofen/some supplements) as directed.
• Arrange a driver and adult support person for the first 24–48 hours.
• Set up your recovery space (compression garments, gauze, loose clothing, meds).
• Nothing to eat after midnight before anesthesia unless instructed otherwise.

You’ll receive procedure-specific prep during your pre-op visit.

Aftercare & Recovery

Recovery varies by procedure. Typical guidance includes:

• Walk lightly around the house to promote circulation.
• Wear compression garments exactly as directed.
• Keep incisions clean and dry; follow drain care if applicable.
• Avoid strenuous activity and heavy lifting until cleared.
• Use medications as prescribed; call us with concerns.

Out-of-Town Patients

We routinely care for patients traveling to Austin or Dallas. Our coordinators can help you time your consult, surgery, and initial follow-ups efficiently.

• Virtual consults available for case review and planning.
• Suggested length of stay depends on procedure; we’ll advise individually.
• We’ll provide written clearance for return travel when appropriate.
